The Board of Directors and Polaris Private Equity are pleased to announce that Link Logistics has introduced a new management structure with experienced leaders from the organization taking up new executive positions and responsibilities to ensure continuity and improve performance in the next phase of the company’s development.

After years of entrepreneurial growth, M&A activity and development of Link Logistics, the Board of Directors and owners of Link Logistics have decided to introduce a new leadership model. A model that will ensure future scalability.

In connection with these changes, the Board of Directors and our CEO Anders Martens have reached an amicable agreement entailing that Anders steps down and leaves Link Logistics after more than 11 years of dedicated service.

Josefine Kern Jensen has accepted the position as CEO based on her tenure with Link Logistics since 2020 after working as a leader across strategy, People & Culture, M&A and expansion. She will lead a highly experienced executive management team:

  • Michael Schrøder will continue as CFO after joining in 2025
  • Mads Koch Jensen, CCO, is founding member and has been a driving force in commercial development
  • Claus Nissen Juhl, COO, has been with Link since early 2024 and takes the operational responsibility

The leadership change will not entail changes in your daily business with Link Logistics as the transition to our next phase of development does not affect existing customer and partner relationships.

We have appointed a strong and experienced management team supported by our dedicated and competent organization – and we have great expectations for the coming years as we look forward to creating a stronger company and even better products and services.

US removes de minimis threshold August 2025

[siteorigin_widget class=”Hero_Section_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
[siteorigin_widget class=”General_title_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

De minimis threshold for imports to the US will be removed in August 2025

A new reality for importers

From August 29, 2025, US import rules will change fundamentally with the removal of the current de minimis threshold of USD 800 for low-value shipments. This means that every shipment – regardless of value – must now go through full customs clearance and may be subject to duties and taxes.

Who will be impacted?
The new rules apply to all countries, except China, where the de minimis provision has already been abolished. The change follows a presidential proclamation issued by the White House on July 30, 2025. You can read the official announcement here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/07/suspending-duty-free-de-minimis-treatment-for-all-countries/

What does this mean in practice?
Until now, shipments valued under USD 800 could enter the US without duties and without undergoing full customs procedures. Going forward, every shipment must clear customs. If documentation is incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, shipments risk ending up in a manual clearance queue – something that can quickly extend transit times.

Why are the rules changing?
According to US authorities, the aim is to:

  • Strengthen national security and curb the inflow of illicit goods, including synthetic opioids.
  • Protect American businesses from low-cost imports and create fairer competition.

Raising the bar for documentation
To keep shipments moving smoothly and avoid delays, it is essential that your Air Waybill and commercial invoices include the following information:

  • Clear and precise product descriptions
  • The relevant Incoterm
  • Manufacturer’s Identification Code (MID)
  • Full 10-digit US tariff number
  • Country of origin

Please note that the US applies different HS codes than Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the rest of EU. Whenever possible, shipments should be updated with the correct 10-digit US codes, available via the official database: https://hts.usitc.gov/

What could this mean for your business?

  • Adjusted import costs, even for smaller shipments
  • More customs procedures, requiring adjustments to logistics and pricing strategies
  • Potential delays if customs clearance takes longer than expected

Planning together
As your logistics partner, we recommend reviewing your documentation procedures now. This will help minimize disruptions and secure a smooth flow of your shipments into the US – even under the new rules.

Link Logistics helps businesses grow in Sweden

[siteorigin_widget class=”Hero_Section_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
[siteorigin_widget class=”General_title_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

Article in Swedish on svd.se

Link Logistics provides customized end-to-end solutions for companies, focusing primarily on courier transport and helping businesses expand into international markets. “Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to focus on their core business,” says Daniel Bergström, CEO of Link Logistics in Sweden and Norway.

Founded in 2002, Link Logistics offers a broad range of transport services, from courier and air freight to sea and road transport. They also have warehousing operations in Stockholm and Gothenburg, enabling them to provide fulfillment services, including pick, pack, and returns management.

The One-Stop-Shop Concept

With a vision to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions within the courier industry for B2B, B2C, and D2C, the company has grown and developed over the years through both organic growth and acquisitions. Today, they offer a “one-stop-shop” concept, managing the entire transportation chain—from pickups with their own vehicles to handling in their own terminals—ensuring deliveries through networks that best match their customer’ needs. Each transport is closely monitored, door to door, by their service team.

“We simplify complex logistics issues and provide complete transparency from booking to invoicing to ease our customers’ day-to-day operations. Our goal is to make complicated logistics straightforward,” says Daniel.

Digitalization and E-Commerce

A core part of Link Logistics’ success is their focus on digitalization. Working in line with their vision to “digitalize complex, international logistics,” they have developed a user-friendly and sophisticated platform connecting customerswith multiple global courier networks.

“We offer a platform that allows e-commerce businesses to tailor their logistics flows as needed. Warehousing solutions are also a valuable addition for many clients, with our newest facility being our newly opened, modern warehouse in Stockholm, ready to onboard new customers,” says Daniel.

The company also stands out in e-commerce by helping its end customers meet their needs by offering multiple delivery options at checkout, including a choice of transport providers and shipping options. This feature helps e-commerce businesses reduce the number of abandoned carts—a common issue impacting a significant portion of online shopping.

Focus on Sustainability

Link Logistics takes sustainability seriously and has developed a sustainability policy that permeates the entire organization. It focuses on environmental, social, and economic aspects. A central element of their sustainability efforts is the “Green Runners,” employees from each office representing sustainability at all branches, focusing on everything from CO2 emissions to recycling.

Interesting portrait of Anders Martens

[siteorigin_widget class=”Hero_Section_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
[siteorigin_widget class=”General_title_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

Ten years ago, Anders Martens joined the “rough diamond” with one specific task – since then, the logistics company has multiplied

Anders Martens, an experienced leader in the logistics industry, became CEO of the Danish logistics company Link Logistics in 2014. Martens joined the company after several years at TNT and DHL, where he held various leadership positions. At Link Logistics, he was hired with the main task of preparing the company for sale, a task he completed in 2019 when the Nordic private equity fund Polaris acquired the company. The sale marked a milestone in the company’s history.

Remarkable growth

Under Martens’ leadership, Link Logistics has experienced remarkable growth, with revenue increasing from around DKK 150 million in 2014 to reaching DKK 1 billion in 2024.

Despite challenges, including a tough year in 2023 when the logistics market was under pressure, Martens has managed to steer the company through difficulties by focusing on long-term strategy and necessary adjustments. Martens remains positive about the future and has no plans to leave Link Logistics.

Customer Interview – VEO

[siteorigin_widget class=”Hero_Section_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
[siteorigin_widget class=”General_title_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
On a mission to make sports technology accessible to everyone, Veo has emerged as a real gamechanger. Armed with their pioneering 360-degree camera and AI-driven Editor, they’re enriching the experience for audiences and players globally.

As sales gained momentum across North America, Veo sought a new logistics solution to fuel their expansion, sharpen their game plan, and streamline their ventures across the pond from Denmark. Veo wasn’t looking for just a simple logistical solution – but a logistics partner with the agility and know-how to establish a streamlined new warehouse and move towards more sustainability. Link Logistics became that partner.

A Winning Team: How Veo and Link Logistics Are Running the Game

At Veo, Peter Baier leads the Logistics division. With over three decades of expertise in supply chain and logistics, he immediately recognised a compelling business case for Veo’s expansion with a warehouse in the US market when he joined their team.

However, given Veo’s unique requirements and scale, it became evident that a shift was necessary:

“Initially, we reached out to our former logistics partner. But, splitting our warehouse between Denmark and the States wouldn’t work because our business wouldn’t be big enough for their requirements. We also checked out another American logistics solution, but their setup was a bit too complicated for us, and we felt like just another number to them. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it led us into the hands of Link Logistics”.

This marked the beginning of a winning partnership, with Link Logistics stepping up to the plate and assisting Veo in setting up a warehouse in New Jersey, US, and fine-tuning logistics processes across their supply chain. But, the real challenge laid ahead, as the process moved on to managing the supply chain and responding to the real-time needs of the business.

[siteorigin_widget class=”WP_Widget_Media_Image”][/siteorigin_widget]

A partnership built on synergy and sustainability

“Entering the US market brought about our main worry: we had to cut down on costs without compromising delivery speed for our customers. Link Logistics came through for us in a big way, as they for one were able to deal with our bulky 7.4-meter camera tripod. Not only did they deliver on their promises but also assisted us in cost savings while reducing our CO2 emissions”, Peter Baier explains.

Collaborating with Veo empowered Link Logistics to negotiate more favourable deals with their suppliers, initially benefiting both Veo and Link.

“I reckon that one of the key reasons this partnership is successful is because we’ve been spot-on at sharing what we need and making sure everyone’s on the same page about our journey ahead. Right now, I know that I can throw anything in Link’s direction – I know that they’ll always take care of everything. They’ve proven just that. I’m genuinely excited about the potential and ongoing work in this partnership, particularly when I think about our expansion into new markets. Asia might be up next”, Peter Baier tells.

Trust your gut and just do it

Many scale-ups are looking at establishing a foothold in the US market. But like all new expansions this presents various challenges that – according to Peter Baier – requires more than a strong business case:

“My top advice for companies on the brink of such a move? Take the leap. It might sound simple, but trust me, sometimes you’ve got to build the plane as you fly it – just as we did at Veo. From my experience, there’s always a bit of hesitancy in management, even when the numbers paint a compelling picture. It’s crucial to address these concerns head-on. Additionally, make sure you prioritise effective communication about change throughout the process to get everyone on board. And don’t forget to lean on partners like Link for support and guidance along the way”

Last but not least, Peter Baier has another advice:

“Always keep your house in order: Every piece of data we provide to Link holds potential for improvement and growth. Begin by reviewing and refining your own setup; with a foundation set for success, partnering with the right ally will propel your growth.”.

Customer Interview – Pas Normal Studios

[siteorigin_widget class=”Hero_Section_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
[siteorigin_widget class=”General_title_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
The Danish premium cycling apparel brand, Pas Normal Studios, keeps the commercial chain tight, the logistics chain agile and the aspirations of escapism within reach. This is obtained through its contemporary, technical cycling clothing with visionary aesthetic designs.

When monitoring the peloton of cyclists who frequented Danish roads, it was clear that a new rider had to put functionality and aesthetics into gear and set out to lead the peloton in terms of developing premium cycling apparel that is designed to shape the fashion of modern cycling in various contexts. Pas Normal Studios is that rider.

[siteorigin_widget class=”WP_Widget_Media_Image”][/siteorigin_widget]

A partner geared for growth

When Ashleigh Jones, Head of Global Sales at Pas Normal Studios, was asked why the company has chosen Link as its logistics partner, he replied:

“Since the foundation of Pas Normal Studios, we have experienced some progressive growth rates. Obviously, this has been a contributing factor in terms of implementing various requirements and criteria related to the flexibility and adaptability of our logistics setup. It has always been a priority for us to collaborate with a partner that could grow with us. Here, Link has been with us from the very start.”

Flexibility and adaptability can be expressed in different ways. Here, Ashleigh emphasizes that we live in a world that is fallible – errors do occur. Therefore, it is not all about avoiding errors. Rather, it is about initiating collaborations with partners that are adaptable to changing needs and are geared to rearrange if an error should occur.

[siteorigin_widget class=”WP_Widget_Media_Image”][/siteorigin_widget]

Due diligence achieved through dialogue

“With Link, we have only experienced good, close, and constructive dialogue. This has been especially decisive in adapting and preparing us to solve the challenges that naturally emerge from rapid growth,” according to Ashleigh Jones of Pas Normal Studios.

The Danish cycling apparel brand has become increasingly relevant on a global scale, represented through flagship stores in the US, Europe and Asia as well as wholesale and retail partners across the globe. When a company scales at a pace comparable to Pas Normal Studios, it naturally puts pressure on the value chain and logistics setup of the company. Here, it has been crucial for Link Logistics to prepare Pas Normal Studios with respect to the upcoming logistics challenges that the progressive growth of the company will give rise to and thereby shape the prospective needs and challenges for Pas Normal Studios.

In relation to this, Ashleigh emphasizes the importance of an established holistic setup.

“A partner that can provide a sufficient and seamless 360-degree setup on logistics is pivotal for us. Inbound, outbound, sea freight, air freight, shipping – you name it. The solution from Link has been flanked with an irreproachable level of service, especially around our exports outside Europe, where different duties, intermodal rates, and other critical logistics factors apply. It occupies a considerable number of resources to navigate within the global field of logistics – Link has reduced these resources significantly.”

“Our business model is – among others – centred around several product launches throughout the year. Here, flexibility from Link has been key to unlocking resources that ensure our backlog of orders is shipped in no time. We are in dialogue almost daily to ensure optimal freight solutions with respect to commercial and environmental concerns and of course ensuring that every order gets dispatched.”
